The range is mechanically equivalent to RG179 and available in the 5 colours commonly associated with video signals.

AVI Series Audio Video Composite multicores

A range of composite audio video multicores with the option of either Van Damme standard or miniature video coaxials coupled with the 1 pair audio cable from Van Damme Blue Series. These cables provide an elegant solution for the transmission of both video and analogue audio signals within the same outer jacket.

AVI Series LSZH Audio Video Composite multicore

Van Damme AVI Series LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) is a composite multicore cable capable of transmitting RGBHV and composite video combined with 4 AES/EBU digital/analogue pairs and 3 tracers for extended distance TX/RX RS232 data.

The multiple signal possibilities within this one cable make it ideal for a general tie line cable within installations - one cable pull will support a host of potential applications.

Transmission Grade 11mm Triaxial camera cables

Van Damme 11mm triax cables are available in 2 versions – a polyurethane (PUR) jacketed solid centre conductor type for outside broadcast use and a thermoplastic rubber (TPR) stranded centre conductor type for patching and studio floor applications. Precision manufactured to ensure compatibility with industry standard triax connectors.

These cables have a red outer sheath in accordance with the UK convention.
Please note that 8mm and 14mm triax cables and LSZH jacketed versions are all available to special order subject to minimum order quantities.

Transmission Grade Universal camera cable

Van Damme Transmission Grade Universal Camera Cable is specifically designed for the interconnection of 26 pole back professional cameras to video recorders (VTRs) and camera control units (CCUs). Tight manufacturing tolerances allow long runs to be used with confidence – 200 metre assemblies have been successfully tested.

The overall diameter of the cable has been designed to be perfectly compatible with the industry standard HRS JRC 26 pole connector and the overall braid and polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket ensure that the cable is tough enough for the most demanding outside broadcast applications.

Smart Control series

Van Damme Smart Control cables are primarily for use with common automation systems increasingly found in home and office environments. These systems run a screened twisted pair with an additional 2 wires for DC voltages used, for example, for powering remote programmable touch panels.

For this range Van Damme have used a 22AWG AES/EBU 110 Ohm twisted pair as the data pair allowing additional applications for the cable such as DMX & power for lighting colour changers.

TourCat Series Category 5E cable

Currently this range comprises a flexible screened stranded Cat 5E cable; please check the Van Damme and VDC websites for new products as this range will be expanded within the lifetime of this catalogue.

The Van Damme TourCat flexible patch cable has the feel and flexibility of Van Damme Microphone Cable combined with Category 5E performance to TIA/EIA-568-B.2-2001 standards. With Ethernet or Ethernet based protocols being increasingly used in the entertainment industry a flexible roadworthy Cat 5E cable is a necessity and is ideal for use with Neutrik’s Ethercon connector range.
