The VDP Group, South Africa’s biggest night club & venue group, just upgraded the highly successful Tiger Tiger branch in Cape Town. VDP currently run 6 of some of the most well-respected & premium entertainment venues both locally and abroad. Surgesound was tasked with designing a system that would upgrade the levels of the current space and ensure that the new section was given the audio boost it needed.
Surgesound designed an add-on system consisting of a combination of Lab Gruppen fp10000q’s for high levels of reliable power. EAW’s UX8800 4in 8 out DSP unit was installed to supplement their current main dance floor spec, and which powered the existing EAW MK53 series, and EAW’s infamous AVALON DCS2 subs (143db) were added to round things off.
A new dance floor has been added onto the new section which will expand their current capacity. The dance floor features EAW JFX 88’s and an EAW LA 400 super-sub. FBT 8MA Powered surround speakers were also added to the new section ensuring that all areas within the new expansion were covered with perfect audio levels.
